Indiana Bail Bonding Jails

In Indiana, there are two main types of bonds: cash bonds and surety bonds. Understanding the difference is critical. For a cash bond, the payment is made directly to the county jail where the defendant is held. However, for a surety bond, the payment is made to a bail bondsman. The bail bondsman might ask for the payment at their office or collect the surety bond premium at the jail where the defendant is.
